First try - awesome

Paired easily with my heart monitor (Scotsche 24). Also paired easily with the Zwift smart app (run mode).

It took me a few tries to get use to it, but once I figured it out it was great. I really enjoyed the "trial" runs. Going to be great anytime I don't feel like running outdoors or need to squeeze a quick run in..

Wonderful Machine

As a teenager I used to enjoy running but it hasn't been part of my fitness routine for a long time. I've developed bad posture and a rather duck footed walk. Now a couple weeks into running on the air runner I have noticed my overall posture is better and my duck footed situation has also disappeared. This treadmill is so challenging and fun to run on! I had thought that the manual part would mean the belt would be difficult to spin.. this was not the case. Learning to control your speed and not shoot off the end is really a great feeling and boy do you feel a run on this thing in so many muscle groups! Any treadmill that can do all these things and even leave your lats sore is definitely worth the purchase!

Marathoner's Thoughts

I'm a marathoner, I don't do cross fit (and really thought this was reserved for them, not me), so I was nervous about putting this much money towards the Air Runner.
My Thoughts:
-This is the smoothest treadmill I have ever run on, no belt slipping, no motor delay--really mimics outdoor running.
-I was more tired the first few times I used it (likely because I was up too far on the curve). Now, however, after getting used to it, I could run on this thing for hours. Once you find the right placement on the curve you can really hit and stay at your pace. Also, unlike other treadmills, the Air Runner requires some mental awareness (need to be aware of your placement on the curve)--which I love and makes it feel less like a treadmill and more like running outside.
-I've done a few tempo runs and love that you can instantly get up to your pace and hit recovery paces too with no waiting for the belt to catch up.
-This thing is hefty (256 lbs) so make sure you know some to help you move it up/down stairs. Pretty easy to wheel around the room, but going up/down would require Magnus McMuscule.
-My only real rub is that the distance/pace calculations seem to be off. Not a huge deal if you run with a GPS cadence watch like I do, but something to be aware of, especially for the cost.
-I do miss the option for an incline, but I figure I'm working harder on this than most treadmills so no biggie so far.

Give it a little time.

We got 2 of them at the Pueblo Athletic Club. Initially they were not liked as they were placed next to the very nice motorized treadmills. Personally I found it uncomfortable. It reminded me of my annual spring adjustment after a winter of powered treadmills. After 3 - 4 months of winter training I have to retrain form and composer when I hit the streets. After a week of painful running on the AirRunner I recorded my gate and discovered several issues. Foot strike, stride and posture had developed undisciplined movements. Not one to throw in the towel, I fought through it broke it down to the basics. Quit running until I could get it right. All it took was three 30 min walking sessions before I felt comfortable. Once I pulled in my hips, straightened my back a natural foot strike returned and the pain diminished. Now I am feeling it again so cool . I can push HIIT and feel good, really good in a 60 - 90 min endurance run. It feels like I am running on the road! Several members have asked me why I look like I am having so much fun. I reply because I am feeling it this AirAssault tread-meal is just too cool. You just have work with it just a bit. I think the AirAssault was design with a purpose that works. Just give it a little time.
